JSC United grain company took part in the meeting of National coordinators of the Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI)

On 29 November, in Vladivostok, in the framework of the Russian chairmanship in the Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI), JSC United grain company took part in the meeting of National coordinators and of the NEA EXIM Banks Association. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic development of the Russian Federation, Vnesheconombank, Far-Eastern Marine Research, Design and Technology Institute, Eximbank of China, Eximbank of Korea, the Development Bank of Mongolia.

In the meeting of JSC United grain company presented investment and strategically important project of a Specialized grain terminal in the sea port Zarubino. Representatives of banks and national GTI coordinators came to a consensus that the implementation of the project of the grain terminal will make a significant contribution to economic development and food security in the countries of northeast Asia. Also high degree of elaboration of the project and the significant progress of JSC UGC on the implementation of its first stage were noted. The DVZT project received the principal support of the GTI partners, and was adopted as a pilot investment project to be implemented with the involvement of export-import banks of the North-East Asia.

We will remind, the investment program of the Far Eastern Specialized grain terminal includes the following steps for the implementation and development of the project:

Stage I:

2016-2018 years – pre-design and design and survey works;

2018-2020 years – construction of the first starting complex with capacity of 3 million tons of grain a year.

Stage II:

2021-2023 years – an increase of the silos and the transshipment capacity up to 10 million tons per year by building additional berths and other technological objects.

Stage III: further development of the terminal and increase of the transshipment volume.

Managing of the investment project is realized by Far Eastern Grain Terminal LLC which is a 100% subsidiary of JSC UGC, established in accordance with the Directive of the Russian Government.
